There are pros and cons to living so far away from America. I can't really think of any pros off the top of my head... I can however think of a huge con! That being I'm not able to shop at Fred Flare. I've found so many things on this site I want it's not funny but do they ship here? Nope! I've recently got back into photography, I'm not sure if it's because I've been seeing a lot of pretty things around or if it's because my digital camera decided to stop so needless to say I was thrilled to find what the site has to offer in the way of cameras. Even though I can't buy them now at least I know what's out there and who know maybe one day they'll ship to lil ol Australia. Anyway here are a few cameras I found on this awesome website and the effects the make. Let me know what you think...
Aren't they adorable? Argh I want them all so bad... one day, right ;)
Hey Lovely - they are available in lil ol stralia! I have a diana, actionsample, fisheye 2, holga and submarine! Head to lomography.com.au or if they don't have what you're chasing try violentgreen.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteIf you get a diana, grab a 35mm adapter (or diy if your clever) so you can learn on the cheap. 120mm film is exxy to process when you're not too sure of focal ranges.
I am scanning a whole heap of lomo photos I took in thailand this weekend, maybe check out my blog later next week. :)
(On topic however I agree that fred flare is the epitome of fun online shopping. Maybe we could petition them to ship to oz?)
I want all of them!

I have the fisheye camera that's pictured there but the red example pic was taken through the viewfinder and isn't quite how the film comes out! (it has a mega black ring around it)... but it's totally awesome.
ReplyDeleteYou should have a look on eBay for Holga cameras - which you can get 35mm adapters for! They should be pretty affordable. They are all awesome though.
35mm film is becoming almost obsolete? I hope not but I'm getting scared it one day might be.
(: I have the fish eye!! these cameras are sooo much fun, and I like that they don't think themselves too seriously! (: I might be getting the last one! xx
ReplyDeleteI love them! I would really love to get into photography more.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely cool :)
ReplyDeleteI love cameras! I want to actually get one someday :)
Sharnee - I totally don't see 35mm becoming obsolete. Panoramic is now which sucks but 35mm won't ever die out completely.
ReplyDeleteLomo - i love it!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Fred Flare! They have the very best stuff! I say have a friend/family member buy it for you in the U.S. & have it shipped to you. Long process but worth it - I say!
ReplyDeletethe pink camera is so cute.
ReplyDeletephotography's kinda become a cult thing to these days.. the post-modernist way of art.. someday i'll put down the ink & give it a go..
ReplyDeletehope your rockin'..
I want...I'm really getting into photography, which is new for me. The pink one, of course, is ADORABLE.
ReplyDeleteI tried to order something the other day, and they don't ship to my state :( I know exactly how you feel!
ReplyDeleteamazing cameras!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful cameras =] I wish I was talented at photography but that is just one thing I never have been able to do well at
ReplyDeleteI planning on buying one soon! :D
ReplyDeleteSigh. Fred Flare. I get their email newsletters and it's like a big taunt! I want all of their things!
ReplyDeleteHullo :D
