I heart mondays

Although the Post Secret website gets updated on Sundays I don't have the internet at home so have to wait until Monday at work to look at them

I've always wanted to send one in but then change my mind about what I want to say. If i were to send one in today it would say
"I wish I had more interesting friends" and would be scrawled over one of these photos in a
thick black permanent marker

Saying that probably makes me a bad friend but I'd love to have a friend that didn't care so much about what every thought of them and just lived a little. Also one that would walk down to the shops with me with our film cameras and take photos of pretty things on the way.

Is that so much to ask? I think not.

  1. I know what you mean. I have always wished for a friend more like me, someone who likes doing the same things and has similar interests! All of my friends are high school friends of over 8 years, but we are so different!

  2. I hear you, somtimes I just think to myself, "I need someone who wants to do MORE than just talk about men and drink booze in a restaurant all night. Lets go do something crazy!"

I think those pictures are perfect for postsecrets, if I had to pick one for those words, I would say the very first one or last one, they're my favourites. Oh lovely.

I love my friends but it's difficult for me to share my musical taste, movies, etc and my ideas to them...So I wish I had interesting friends too.

  5. I have always said I am a city mouse living a country mouse's life. I'm edgy and funky and fun and crazy, but rural ND is pretty stagnant! hehe But this blogging thing is really helping. I love making new friends and would love to hang out with you, take crazy pictures, and just be ourselves. Just tell me when! Ha. Oh, I hope you are in driving distance. Haha

  8. Great post, and thanks for stopping by my blog - glad you enjoyed my musings of being a weird child.

I would totally walk down the street with you and take photos!
Sometimes I feel my friends are more concerned with talking about themselves to me than chatting with me. Its disheartening and annoying. Thats why I love blogging, because you have no-one to really one-up you but you know people are actually listening/reading.

  12. I can totally understand! I have a couple friends who WOULD go to little shops and take pictures together with me, but the majority of my friends would just be too cautious ("this makes us look dumb...everyone's looking, blahblahblah")
    i love your blog!

  13. Friends are great...but I feel we all have room for improvement in that department. I really love friends who are quite free as well.

  14. I'd like a friend you was as passionate about vintage and op-shopping as I am... although it could make shopping quite competitive.

  16. I have interesting friends, who also like to take pictures of pretty things. But these friends are flippant and unreliable.

Can I have both interesting AND devoted friends?
